About MuseMentors: information and membership
Having performed for years I was looking for a way to give back to the musical community. The goal of this new project is to provide a useful service to musicians by connecting you to valuable resources within the community, to help meet your social, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. The site content under development consists of articles, links, chat rooms, discussion forums, directory and event listings and opportunities to present work for feedback from peers, and to promote solo projects or bands.
The name MuseMentors refers to the truth that no matter how far we are along in our musical path, there is always someone starting out who could use our constructive feedback and a kind word, and always someone further along the path to inspire us and share some of lessons they have learned. In these times of uncertainty and economic hardship creating a spirit of unity and cooperation can be our most valuable strategy. The gift of musical ability that we have been graced with, with all its healing and motivational powers, is our unique contribution to the world’s well-being, so developing our abilities and careers at the same time as working with community outreach and educational programs based on performance would be a wonderful service for us to offer. Two particular quotations that have inspired me along the way, related to music and our place in community are the following.

You can help the MuseMentors project by:
- contributing articles
- requesting or offering mentoring from other musicians in the community forums
- donating to help support the site
- signing up for a MuseMentor or Corporate/School/Teacher membership
- visiting and purchasing from sites advertised
- Drupal tech support is always welcome!
Membership levels
General site access: Free
- access articles
- access and post in Community Discussion Forum (general posting, not ads)
MuseMentor Membership: $US 19/yr
the above plus:
- you may place 1 classified ad at a time in the forum of your personal music related sale items
- you may upload video or audio clips of your playing for review by fellow MuseMentor members
- you will have your own posting in the performers directory
- you are able to post gigs available or wanted
- you have chat room access with other MuseMentors
Corporate/School/Teacher Membership: $US 100/yr
All of above plus:
- You will have a one page posting in Corporate directory of related instruments or products
or
- you will have a one page posting in the teacher directory
